To reach a healthy weight, we should adopt some habits as part of our life. Healthy eating and exercising is not about dieting. It´s all about a new lifestyle. We will never reach a healthy and long lasting weight if we keep dieting, quitting, then trying a new diet, then quitting, then another popular diet, and then quitting. First of all, we should analyze our habits.
We know we have bad habits we should break right know. I bet we can make a list of all the bad habits we have and we will fill a complete page with them. Start by thinking about your habits. Start making a diary, write down all the things you do and eat during the day. Write all down. You will be surprised. I know you will find out things that you consider without importance, but by repeating them every day, they are not that unimportant. Yoram Yasur Izz: “Think about all your repetitive actions and thoughts”. Do you suffer from stress? Are you a negative person? Do you worry too much? Do you feel tired all the time? Do you eat when you are nervous? Do you have sugar cravings? Do you avoid exercising? Do you find new excuses to not exercise? Sometimes we are not conscious of the things we do, that is why is so important to start by doing this list.
Avoid using food as a price for your body.
We all do that! We just finished a week and we are so happy because didn´t miss one single spinning class! How do we celebrate that big goal? We go out and buy a piece of cake or a banana split. Have you done it? A lot of times! Instead of this, we should nourish our body with the correct food. Food that is good for our health and that will add nutrients.
Another important thing to reach a healthy weight, is to stop fighting with our body. Let´s start by accepting our body. Love your body! Take care or your gut! There is a famous and very popular phrase: all your health problems begin in your gut. And it´s so true! How can you feel healthy if you eat junk and fatty food? How can you have a good digestion if you don’t ingest enough fiber and water?
